Hello everyone, meet Chandra Sekhar Veluru, who has 16 years+ overall experience in software and IT development and 7 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and contributed significantly for the artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for Cisco (one of the leading IoT Platform Providers in the world).

Chandra Veluru holds a master’s degree in information technology from Middle Georgia State University. He is leading the Big Data engineering team in Cisco. As part of this role, he primarily works on architecting the big data systems based on Big data technologies, designing and developing the machine learning and artificial intelligence based engineering solutions. With the knowledge gained in AI and ML, he had filed 2 patents (approved) with the US Patent Office and published more than 20 publications/scholarly articles.

For his outstanding performance and significant contribution to Cisco, he was among the few employees who received “Bravo” Awards for the years of 2022 and 2023. In

September 2023, he won the Cisco Provider Mobility Hackfest 2023 contest on AI/ML. Being an ardent cross functional team player, he gained numerous “Connected Recognition” Rewards from Cisco Systems in the past 5 years.

He is eager to participate in the new initiatives, which is demonstrated by the desire to constantly find roles/projects that challenge and constantly drive to improve the knowledge on new artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives, particularly Generative AI. Chandra Veluru also worked on some technology modernization initiatives in Cisco which aimed at scaling the big data platform to accommodate the ever-growing clientele.

Chandra Veluru also proved to be a good leader and mentor and occasionally conducts employee interaction sessions for tech talks, training the subordinates and an ardent code reviewer. He is always eager to connect with fellow tech enthusiasts, share and exchange ideas, and wish to collaborate for publication works or technology articles.
