Abstract

Efficient resource management is critical for optimizing performance and minimizing costs in both symmetric and asymmetric cloud computing environments. Task allocation plays a pivotal role in achieving these objectives by distributing computing tasks effectively across available resources. This paper explores various strategies and algorithms aimed at enhancing resource utilization and performance in such environments. We discuss the challenges posed by asymmetry in resource availability and workload distribution, and propose solutions leveraging task allocation techniques. Comparative analyses of different approaches highlight their effectiveness in achieving optimal resource utilization and workload balance. Through case studies and simulations, we demonstrate the practical applicability and benefits of these strategies in real-world cloud computing scenarios.
