The current paper explores the benefits of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and platform engineering to enlighten more on how the two concepts can be used to benefit the delivery of cloud services, especially on the three aspects; scalability, cost-efficiency, and security, and operational consistency. We have shown the possibilities of transformative power through empirical analysis, case studies, and tooling guideline of IaC as infrastructure automation provisioning and its connection to the DevOps pipeline. Such key performance indicators as the deployment time, the resource use, and the frequency of incidents are analyzed. The result indicates that the integration of IaC and CI/CD and governor mechanisms causes a 60 percent decrease in the occurrence of outages and 25 percent cost reductions. The present study can benefit organizations that seek modern, resilient, and secure cloud-native practices in terms of infrastructure.
